Happy Anniversary to us

I am a day early in writing this but I won't be near a puter tomorrow.

Tomorrow marks the one year anniversary of my marriage to the most wonderful handsome man I know and love very much.

W and I have had our moments and many more blessings than moments. Thank you our Saviour Jesus.

We are going to Ubatuba for the weekend.

Thanks for your prayers and support.

hugs, love and licks.

Comin' to the States

Yeah, okay, the countdown is under 30 days now for the US tour of the Hensley-Quaresma family. Plans are underway and work is being done on this side of the fence.

Whoa, in under a month we will be in the US for a visit. It will be W's first trip outside Brazil and his 3rd time on a plane. We are flying through Chicago to our final destination and I hope it is not too cold there for our layover. W will be in shock of the temps and I have reminded him of that frequently. He is doing well in English classes but don't expect fluency or anything close. You will still need to speak slowly to him. I am trying to get everything wrapped up here in the work I have to get done for the parents. Pray for us as we prepare for this trip. I am nervous so please pray.

Love and hugs to you all.

Reader's Digest version

Now much has been going on here in my life on my side of the world lately. I am going about my everyday just like everyday. There is laundry to do, vegetables to buy, lunch to fix, bills to pay for the parents and computer stuff to do for them too.

W is studying English 5 days a week and starting to absorb it pretty well. He will still have some issues when we travel in Dec. He will be overwhelmed with English in the states but that is what it is. He will also miss rice and beans for lunch and dinner. I am sure I will be fixing some beans and rice in the later evening so he does not go through withdraw. hehe

We started paying for me to have a health plan. I dread the social health system here and now with this health plan, I can go to the hospital and not face a waiting line and receive more prompt care of particular doctors. Yeah. This allows me to feel better about having a child here. There is a timeline to the things I can have and having a child is a 10 month thing. That means I should not think about getting pregnant for at least 2 months so that when I come to term - if I got pregnant fast- the health plan will have been active for 10 months or more. So, the beginning steps have been taken for the expansion of our family.

So, anyway, we are looking towards our trip to the states in December. Hope all is well with you all.

Hugs, kisses and licks.
