So the past couple of weeks have been a bit rough, actually more than a bit.
Other than the normal running around, there has been a rash of deaths in the church. First one of the men from the mission point in Barranco Alto. I was not there but W was preaching there the night the gentleman has a stroke. Then on the 22nd, W and his family lost his dad, Gibson. We all happened to be at W's parents' house that day. We were picking fruit and just having a good time. Unfortunately for us but fortunately for my father-in-law, our God called him home. It was a very rough afternoon and evening for all the family. Fortunately, God was already at work because a lot of the family was coming in town for the holiday weekend. The funeral was equally rough but I can say that a lot of people heard about the love of God and how Jesus can be their eternal salvation that day. After this, the next day a father of one of out church members passed away as well. For the pastors of our church, they saw way too much of the cemetery this past week and a half.
Please keep all of us in your prayers. My in-laws are on the road to healing from this loss but it will take a long time for the pain to go away. We are all making it one day to the next and being comforted by the Great Comforter.
Praise be for friends like y'all.
Hugs and love to you.
