Yes, you read that right, the paper is on the wall. Not the writing is on the wall though you could almost say that. Hehe. What this means to you living above the equator is that I am now officially registered to get married to W. APPLAUSE - CHEERING - SCREAMS OF THANKS TO GOD !!!
W and I (mom and our 2 witnesses) returned to the Registro Civil yesterday after going to pick up my registered documents required for me to be able to get married. Backtrack note - before we left the house, I prayed that God would help the ugly lady be nice to us. So, we arrive at the Registro and the ugly lady was not there, the nice lady was. Woo hoo!!!! Thank you Jesus!!! So, W and I give her the needed paperwork. She asked to see some of my other paperwork that the ugly lady said I would not need, but thank you my Lord, I brought it with me. I showed her those accompanying pages and she began entering information into the computer. Alleluiah!!!! W and I gave our addresses, parents names & ages, etc. The nice lady then went into the explanation that is it no longer required for anyone to take the other's name in marriage, you can if you want or you can take each other's name. I of course will add W's last name to mine. It is cool, I don't have to drop my maiden name - just add his. And then the lady was like did he want to add my last name to his, putting my maiden name at the end of his. I emphatically said NO cause that would be weird. Instead, he is taking my maiden name for his middle name (cause he does not have a middle name right now). Isn't that totally cool. He cannot pronounce it quite right but he will be a Hensley too. (I think he already holds some Hensley traits and I am not sure how good that is. ;7P)
So the thing about the paper on the wall, after you check that your names and information are right, you sign this page that is posted on the wall. It is posted for 15 days and anyone can come in and see who is getting married. This is done to make sure no one is already married. So W put our paper on the wall. Yeah!!
So, I am officially set to be a married woman. YEAH! Now God just needs to make sure I make a good wife. hehe
So the getting able to be married is done and then after the wedding will be the being recognized as the wife and permanent residence everything. Please keep all this in your prayers.
Thank you and I love you all.
